How do you get people to stop attacking you in skyrim?

So I was in Skyrim (city) and accidentally killed a chicken. Then out of no where 3 people started attacking me and wont stop even though I've sheathed my weapons. How do I get them to stop attacking?How do you get people to stop attacking you in skyrim?

Yeahhhh that happens. People get defensive about their chickens. Anyway, your choices are:

a) Pay your bounty (assuming you killed a chicken, it can't be more than 25 septim).

b) Go to jail (just sleep in a bed for a couple seconds and you'll be out, or you can choose to try and escape).

c) Run from the guards until they give up chasing you. Note that if you venture to any of the cities withing the same hold, the guards there will also try to arrest you.How do you get people to stop attacking you in skyrim?
Go to another main city or somewhere out in the wilderness and wait about 72 hours(3 days) if it doesn't help try waiting for 5 days if that doesn't help reload an old save (this is where the term SAVE EARLY, SAVE OFTEN comes into mind.)
Your best bet is to attack a guard and get arrested in that town. That almost always resets the AI's actions like that.How do you get people to stop attacking you in skyrim?
Try using the calm or fear spell or voice of the emperor,last time i used calm it workd.its worth a try
