How can I make a hybrid build on Skyrim?

I am wanting to become a warrior mage hybrid in Skyrim. So I want to know what is the best race to start off as, what weapons I should use, what spells, etc.How can I make a hybrid build on Skyrim?
I would go with the Nord:

and choose aterlation, conjuration, and one handed, and light armor
Probably either brenton or norf. Weapons, one handed doesn't matter which so long as not daggers, spells which ever you want.

google spell sword since that is what you are makingHow can I make a hybrid build on Skyrim?
The best would be Orc, Breton, or Nord. Best would be Breton since it fits them cuz they're half-man half-elf.
Best races you'd want to consider would be Breton, High Elf, or Orc depending on what ability you think would be the most useful. Bretons resist magic and their power is magic absorption, High elves can regenerate magic very fast for a short time, and orcs can do double melee damage while taking half melee damage for a short time. I personally really like the High Elf ability as in being a battlemage you'll be using many spells, and having your mana restore almost instantly without using any potions is very useful. For weapons you should use a 1 handed melee weapon and then a spell in your off hand. I prefer swords but you could use war axes or maces if you want, its just swords are the fastest and feel more responsive to button mashing. For spells you'll definitely want to learn several restoration and destruction spells like fast healing and close wounds, and also the ''cloak'' destruction spells like fire cloak. Also ranged destruction spells like lightning bolt are nice too. Other really helpful spells for being a battlemage/spellsword are paralyze (alteration spell) and armor spells like stoneflesh. Keep in kind that a few of these spells wont appear from vendors until you are at a certain level of ability in that school of magic, such as you wont see close wounds until you get better at restoration. Also you'll want to decide between light or heavy armor- with the way they incorporated smithing into Skyrim it really doesn't matter which one you pick, its just heavy armor will have a slight edge in protection at low levels, so choose whichever armor set you think you'd like. And also think about birthsign choice, while you'll be a hybrid you will probably see you have a preference towards either magic or combat skills so choose either the warrior or mage stone based on your initial instincts but then later on go get the Lover stone blessing.
