How is magic experience gained in Skyrim?

In oblivion, exp was given per cast regardless of the spells power, so the more you cast, the more exp you got. Is this the same in skyrim or do more powerful spells render more exp?How is magic experience gained in Skyrim?
The higher level your spell the more xp you will get but you have to hit a target whether it be yourself an ally or an enemy. (ie. Fireball will get you more xp than Flame) With buff spells its a little different (many Alteration Illusion and Conjuration spells are this type I will go into detail about Conj in a sec) they get xp every time its cast (again the higher level spell you cast the more xp you get)

With Conjuration spells like Bound weapons Summon Familiar and Summon (element) Atrinnoch you get exp for the initial cast along with any damage you do with said weapon or summon (Bound Weapons count as Conjuration and the weapon type ie. Bound Sword will give you xp in both One Handed and Conjuration)

I hope that helps you out.How is magic experience gained in Skyrim?
More powerful the hit- the more exp. However, you MUST hit a target to gain exp, unless its Rejuvination, in which case, you MUST have lost health to recover.
