What happens when you go to jail in Skyrim?

I just got Skyrim yesterday, and I haven't had too much time to play, but I played for a total of about 3 hours. I've commited a few crimes, but paid for them all, because they were cheap. I saw that there was an achievement for breaking out of jail, but I don't know to downsides to going to jail. Do you lose things, other than stolen goods?What happens when you go to jail in Skyrim?
you just loose the skills xp to the next level. ex if ur skill in one handed is about to hit 2 going to jail will make u loose that ex for ur skill.

Yes your stuff gets taken away.

You go to a cell and the only ways to get out is to pick lock the cell door or go through a little sewer thing or sleep it off.

you get back all your equipment when u are released, except stolen goods. you also lose progress towards skill levels, and the longer you are in the more u lose
Other prisoners and guards use horker tusks on you each night you are in jail. If you are really unlucky you may even get violated with a mammoth tusk or two.
Just the stolen goods. If you escape the bounty stays in the Hold it was commited.
what ever weapon u used on them that "skill" will decrease.
