How do I get Skyrim textures to show in Nifskope?

I'm making a armour mod for Skyrim and I want to see how my new texture holds up without affecting the game by placing it in-game.

Can Nifskope show Skyrim textures? And if it can how do I get it to load them? How do I get Skyrim textures to show in Nifskope?
Unfortunately NifSkope is not yet set up to display textures for Skyrim objects directly. U can look them up in the "textures" area of each NiTriShape/BSShaderTextureSet, but Nifskope won't display them. I don't understand really how this is all working yet, so I'm really just as lost as u are.

U might be best off loading the mesh into Blender and then adding the texture in Blender. This way at least u can see what it should look like in the game. How do I get Skyrim textures to show in Nifskope?
Render%26gt;Settings%26gt;Rendering%26gt;(now either hit "auto Detect Game Path", or manually add the skyrim data+texture folder directories manually).

At least that's what worked for me, and from there forward all textures load automatically with meshes.

This answer is actually incorrect. Just extract the textures (4 GB) from the Textures.bsa file located in the Skyrim directory somewhere. Then point NifSkope to that directory by adding the textures folder in NifSkope settings.
