How come my objective markers do not show on my map in Skyrim?

When I started playing Skyrim my objective markers would show on the map and disappear after completing the quest. Now whenever I try to make anything my active quest, nothing shows on my map. I thought that it was just certain quests, but it is doing it for every single one. My buddy marks the same quests on his PS3 and the active quests show up on his map. Is this a glitch?How come my objective markers do not show on my map in Skyrim?
If you are talking about the misc quests you need to active them individually not just the misc quest.



As for the main quest and side quest it just sounds like you aren't marking them correctly. Some quests though start off as rumors and won't give you an icon until you've learned some more information about them.
For me the misc quest markers show up fine. All the other quests don't show up. I have to keep a notebook when I get a quest and write down as much as I can remember to help me find the right person and place. If I don't catch the spoken info, I reload and listen again. Pain with no quest markers.

How come my objective markers do not show on my map in Skyrim?
Just make sure the quest you want is active on your Quest Log, it may not always become active when you get that quest. Slick Start and just select the quest line if it's a Primary quest, on the left, and if it is Secondary make sure you select which individual quest it is on the menu on the right.
do you mean when you get quests they aren't showing?
because that happened to me
but i found out that if you have miscellaneous quests clicked but nothing specific within the tab then new quests dont show on the map

You have to select which ones you want to show on the indicator in the start menu
only mark one at a time if this doesn't work than you have a glitch.
